The idea is to have all the materials needed to build the raft in a kit ready to be assembled in a timely manner. People would just need to bring their own charged cordless drill.

Event Details

When: Saturday, July 13 - 9 to 11 am.

Where: Diamond Lake Yacht Club

Families/groups will be building their very own 2’x3’ wooden “Turtle Raft” to take home. Turtle Rafts provide resting places for turtles and other wildlife and can help turtles regulate their body temperature, absorb heat from the sun, and produce vitamin D. Basking in the sun is important for turtles because it helps them digest food and grow faster!

There is a cost of $120 per group for this event. All materials to build the raft will be provided at the event. Kid-friendly snacks, drinks, and craft activities will also be available. This is a group/family activity. Please note this is not a drop-off activity, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. We will have some power drills available, but please bring your own drill and bits if you have one.
